Children’s bikes needed for Revolutions program

Revolutions has been given an opportunity to lead a bicycle build project that will provide bicycles for 16 children (8 boys and 8 girls) later this month.  This is a great opportunity to share the benefits of recycling, human-powered transportation, and community-driven action with some of the youngest members of our community.

We need your help now to get enough bikes to make this build happen.  Our stocks of children’s bikes are very low right now.  Please take a look in your garages, sheds, barns and backyards and bring any unused children’s bikes to Revolutions for use in this project.  Of course, we will be happy to take any unused bikes off your hands, but have a specific need right now for bikes that a 7-8 year old child could ride as their first bike.

Drop off your donations during our open shop hours (www.revolutionsmemphis.com), or contact us to schedule a time that works for you (revolutionsbikeshop@gmail.com).  All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Ideally, we would like to have enough bikes on hand before August 13, 2010.

Thanks for your support and dedication in making Memphis a bicycle-friendly city for all age groups.
