The CYCA is looking for a Community Director. The purpose of this position is to manage business operations of the CYCA. This includes designing and implementing strategies supporting the community mission.
The expectations for this position revolve around 3 distinct areas: Community Development, Board and Committee Support, and Administrative Responsibilities. The community development responsibilities are to support activities, such as membership initiatives, fundraising, and facilitating project or event evaluations. Support of the Board and Committees include ensuring compliance of goals and objectives, maintenance of internal controls for the protection of organization assets and attendance of Board and Committee meetings. Administrative responsibilities include database support, maintaining a community master calendar, and communicating to the membership.
A flexible schedule with availability nights and weekends is critical. The following are some additional qualifications:
- Minimum one year office work experience in an office setting
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Computer skills
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn about local, state, and national government operations as they relate to community involvement
- Working knowledge in nonprofit management, volunteer coordination, and fundraising
- Grant writing skills preferred
This position is budgeted for 25 hours weekly and pays $17,000 annually. The CYCA Board is looking to fill this position immediately. Applications being accepted through December 15, 2010.
