Cooper Young Festival 2012 – Artist Booth Sales Begin

The Cooper Young Festival artist vendor booths go on sale Friday, June 15 at 12 am.  Booths are sold on a first come, first served basis to artists around the country.  On our new website, www.cooperyoungfestival.com, you can view maps of the festival site and pick out your favorite space for this year’s event that will be held on Saturday, September 15 from 9 am to 7 pm with a rain date of Sunday, September 16.

The Cooper Young Festival is a free, family-friendly, music, arts and crafts street festival which draws over 120,000 attendees to the historic Cooper Young District for a day of music, art, shopping, people watching and dining.  The Festival is the largest, single day event held annually in a celebration of life, music, arts and history.  It’s the biggest party of the summer – you don’t want to miss!

In celebration of our 25th anniversary, the Festival is dedicated this year to our Founder and Festival Chairman, William (Bill) Stemmler for his thousands of hours of volunteer time logged not only on the Festival Committee but also as a board member and officer of the Cooper Young Community Association, Cooper Young Business Association and the Cooper Young Development Corporation.  As an officer of the CYDC back in the 1990s, Bill led the charge of renovation of over 62 houses receiving over one million dollars in grant money in the Cooper Young neighborhood.

Don’t delay on purchasing your booth for this year’s most anticipated event of the summer.  Cooper Young is Midtown, Memphis.
