In order to make the Cooper-Young Festival Friday 4-Miler the best possible event it can be, we need YOUR to help make it happen!
Our annual race bag stuffing is Thursday, September 6th at 5:30 at our office at 2298 Young. It is expected to last an hour or so and then we’ll all be heading down to CY Night Out. On Thursday, September 13th will be our community clean-up so the neighborhood is sparkling clean for visitors and runners.
We have volunteer opportunities all throughout the day on Friday, September 14th, from 10 am to after the race. What will you be helping with? We need a hand with everything from registering race participants the day of the event and handing out goody bags to helping pour beer when the run is over (a simple task, but vital to keeping folks happy!) Even kids can help by handing out sandwiches and fruit to hungry runners. All volunteers on Friday will receive a complimentary 4-Miler short sleeve t-shirt as well as entry into the post-race party (includes beverages, beer and volunteer food).
On Saturday, September 15th, we have a booth at the annual Cooper-Young Festival. We need help getting the word out about how awesome Cooper-Young is, selling visitors t-shirts and posters and distributing LampLighter newspapers with the Festival map. Shifts are only two hours long and as thanks for your time, you will receive a complimentary Cooper-Young Festival t-shirt! Service hours for students are available for all activities.
