Our Memphis police and firefighters work hard every day to keep us safe but not all of them get to spend the holidays with family. In thanks for all their hard work, we would like to once again come together and show our love and appreciation by stuffing treat bags for the officers and firefighters working Christmas Eve.
On December 24th, the CYCA will have volunteers fill bags with portable treats and drinks for the Memphis Fire and Police Departments. We’ll kick off this wonderful tradition at our office (2298 Young Ave) at 7 pm and finish up around 8. The treat bags will be dropped off for 10 pm roll call that night. Want to help out but can’t make it to the bag stuffing? You can drop items–approximately enough to fill 80 bags–at our office any time that day between 11 am and 4 pm or that night between 7 and 8 pm. We welcome everything from home-made goodies to store-bought treats and we encourage everyone to include your family’s information for that special personal touch.
This is one of our favorite events all year and is even great to share with the kids! Every bag is filled with Holiday cheer and appreciation so please come on out and have some fun. We hope to see you there!
