Be aware that a coyote has been positively identified in the 1400 block of Central where it was devouring a neighborhood cat on Saturday, July 24. It has also been seen in the past week on Melrose between Central and Peabody heading north.

Last night, WREG reported on a suspected purse snatching spree in which the perpetrator ran into some bad luck. The latest was an attempt to snatch a purse in Cooper Young, but a witness chased the perp away!

Attend Midtown Security Community’s January Meeting!
“Help keep Midtown a safe place to live and work.” Plan to attend our next Midtown Security Community meeting on Thursday, January 7, at the Rhodes College Library. Refreshments and networking start at 5:30. Meeting is 6:00-7:00. Col. Garrett and Dr. Richard Janikowski will be our program presenters.
