Over 40 businesses participated in this year’s Cooper-Young “Unwrapped” contest, part of the Cooper-Young Business Association’s “Santa Comes to Cooper-Young” holiday celebration on December 7.
Local businesses lit up their windows and outdoor displays to win free membership, advertising and other prizes. The contest was hosted by the CYBA. CW30 celebrities Maria and Dustin Starr served as special guest judges this year are the.

- 1st Place: Soul Fish Café
- 2nd Place: Tsunami
- 3rd Place: Young Avenue Deli
Java Cabana Coffeehouse also won a free supporting sponsorship (worth $255) in a random drawing.
Other festivities included a performance by the Peabody School Choir, a fundraiser for Peabody’s Eagle Bucks program, and an appearance by Santa Claus.
