Welcome to the Cooper-Young Community Association’s LampLighter Online! We’re glad you’re here! This is the place where you can get a little bit of help if you are having trouble with things like the Cooper-Young Community Association Forums, where to Register, how to login with Facebook, etc.

If your question is not answered here, stop by the forums here, and leave your question for us. We’ll get back to you as soon as we can!

Q: Do I have to be a resident of the Cooper-Young neighborhood to participate and use the LampLighter or CYCA websites?

A: Absolutely not! We welcome anyone from anywhere, even if you don’t live in Memphis, but just want to keep tabs on what’s going on in Cooper-Young.

Q: Where can I register?

A: The LampLighter and the CYCA accounts are one and the same. In order to post comments here and use the forums, you need a CYCA login. Register for your own account here.

Q: How can I post using my Facebook account?

A: If you have a Facebook account, you do not have to login with a CYCA account. There are two ways you can login with Facebook:

  1. Sign in to Facebook in another browser tab, and refresh the LampLighter page.
  2. Click the “Connect with Facebook” tab to the right, enter your Facebook login e-mail and password, and click “Connect”

Q: Can I use the forums if I sign in with Facebook.

A:  Yes and no. You need to have a CYCA account and be logged in to be able to post to the forums, but you can read the forums without being logged in.

Q: Where can I set up my profile for my CYCA account and add my signature for the forums, etc?

A: You can go to the forum profile page here to edit your profile once you have created your account and logged in.

Q: How can I find what I’m looking for?

A: There are two basic ways to look around the CYCA website:

  1. Use the “Search this site” tool at the top right-hand corner of every page.
  2. Use the “Tags” tool on the right-hand side of each page for search terms that articles have been “tagged” with. For e.g., an post that has pictures in it and is about the Cooper-Young Festival Four-miler  might be tagged with all of the following: “
