This is the season to give thanks for what you have and thank those who help you all year long. As part of our annual tradition, the Cooper-Young Community Association will provide treat bags for the officers and firefighters who work Christmas Eve, and we could use your help making them.

There are two ways to help:

Donate holiday refreshments for the gift bags. We make between 70 and 90 bags that are delivered by 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Non-perishable items can be dropped off at the office (2298 Young Ave.) by 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 21st. Anything else can be brought to the office between 7 and 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24th.

Stuff bags with us! We’ll have snacks and drinks. This is a perfect family-friendly way to teach service to the whole family. Simply show up around 8 p.m. at the CYCA office.

Help us carry on this thankful tradition. — S.G.
