As I discussed in my letter last month, several Cooper-Young Community Association board members stepped down at the beginning of the year due to their lack of time to dedicate to the CYCA. As a result, we have several open spots that we would love to talk to you about if you are interested in becoming more involved with the community.
Have you served on a non-profit board before? Alternatively, would you like to give some of your time to the community, work with your neighbors, and learn how to run an organization?
Our annual election for officers of the CYCA represents another opportunity for involvement.
The elections will be held in April, and the positions of vice-president and secretary are up for election this year. Do you know someone in Cooper-Young that you would like to nominate? Would you like to throw your hat in the ring? At a minimum, we need your vote if you are a member of the CYCA.
