Solid Waste Management is responsible for the collection and disposal of all solid waste within the City following State and Federal Laws. In an ongoing effort to reduce the amount of solid waste being disposed of in Memphis area landfills, Solid Waste Management has developed and supported a variety of materials management programs and initiatives which include: curbside recycling, yard waste composting, household hazardous waste disposal and recycling drop-off centers.⁠ ⁠ Food and beverages will be served!
