Have you ever thought about the freedom and convenience of having buses running every 15 minutes in Cooper Young? Imagine fast bus service connecting you to work, your favorite restaurants and shops in Overton Square, and grocery stores on Union and Madison. This reimagined transit system could become a reality for you through the Memphis 3.0 Transit Vision, and its success rides on you!
Innovate Memphis is leading the Memphis 3.0 Transit Vision by presenting the Draft Recommended Network Report to the public: More buses arriving often, new bus numbers and routes, and increased weekend and evening service.
This is the third phase of public outreach, following earlier surveys on transportation choices and four transit network design options. The Draft Recommended Network combines that public input into a design that re-imagines transit to dramatically improve access to jobs, people, and opportunities
If you are interested in learning more and sharing your thoughts, Memphis 3.0 Transit Vision would like to know if the Draft Recommended Network would be better for you, the people you know, and Memphis. Get involved NOW by reading the Transit Vision Draft Recommended Network and taking the survey. Both are available online at memphis3point0.com/transit.
This project is being conducted by Jarrett Walker + Associates for Innovate Memphis and the City of Memphis, in partnership with Memphis Area Transit Authority and the Memphis Metropolitan Planning Organization as part of the Memphis 3.0 Comprehensive Plan.
