Celtic Crossing and the Memphis Irish Society will co-host the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade on Tuesday, March 17, at 1 p.m. This year’s theme is “Irish Heroes.” Put on your favorite green t-shirt (unless you WANT to get pinched) and meet at Celtic Crossing at noon to assemble for the parade. This is the Memphis Irish Society’s biggest annual event. Their mission is to “support and promulgate all things Irish in Memphis, serving to uphold Irish history, culture, and arts amongst those of Irish heritage and to share this rich legacy with the general public. The parade reflects the enthusiasm of the Irish community tempered with respect for wholesome family traditions and reverence for jointly-held beliefs.” — Amanda Yarbro-Dill
