It’s election time again for the Cooper-Young Community Association, and we need your vote. This year we have the secretary and vice president offices up for election on Tuesday, April 11th. Our meeting will get under way at 6 p.m. with time to chat with the candidates and will finish up around 8 p.m.. Attendees are encouraged to come and go as they are able.

Speaking of candidates, there’s still time to run! To be eligible, you need to be a member in good standing with the CYCA. Any candidate can stand up at the election and toss their name into the hat, but it would be best if you give us advance notice by calling us 901-272-2922, emailing info@cooperyoung.org, or stopping by the office as soon as possible. We’ll share info about any new candidates through our social media!

How does voting work? All candidates who get their information in early will be highlighted on our social media, our weekly news email, and in our office prior to the vote. Voting will open at start of business on Tuesday, April 11th, and close 24 hours later. All voters must be members in good standing with the CYCA and either email or stop in the office to vote during that period. All voters must include their name and address to be counted. — Kristen Schebler
