There will be a public meeting Sept 30 at 4:00pm on the Cooper-Young Pride Crosswalk Project. They plan to vote at the end of the hearing. The hearing will take place in City Council Chambers on the 5th floor.
All sides are welcome to attend but we are asking you join us in support of the crosswalk. If you can’t attend but would like to provide input, an email and/or a mailing address will be provided at a later date. They are getting back to us with that info.
For those who cannot attend the meeting, email your comments to pubworks@memphistn.gov. Please put “C-Y Crosswalk Art Project” in the subject line. They we will be unable to review any emails that are not submitted before noon on September 30th.
The crosswalk will be on one corner going from the old Strano to Mulan. We plan for the installation to be a week after the vote, if passed.
