Our neighborhood baker, 901 Bakes, is throwing a c Our neighborhood baker, 901 Bakes, is throwing a cookie swap at Grind City Brewing this weekend. Here's how it works: A bunch of people bake and bring 3 dozen of their favorite cookies to share and swap with other bakers.⁠ 🏠🍪 *Home bakers, professionals, and hobbyists are all welcome, please don't bring anything store bought.*⁠ 🚫🍪*Non-bakers are also welcome, but be prepared to have second choice of the cookies available. People will be served in the order of: bakers, then non-bakers. We often have plenty of treats left over, but if there's a particularly popular kind of cookie, it may run out before you can try it.⁠ 🏆🍪This event will have two contests: Gingerbread House contest (prize is $50) and People's Choice contest (prize is $30).⁠ ☕🍵We will have a coffee vendor! Join Cooper-Young's book club, Dear Readers, for t Join Cooper-Young's book club, Dear Readers, for their end-of-year December Book Swap. Bring a new or used and gift-wrapped book, preferably one that you've read and really enjoyed and want to share with someone else! Write "from (your name)" either on the wrapping paper or inside the cover so that whoever reads it will know who to contact to talk more about it. Some snacks and beverages. Feel free to bring other drinks and/or snacks, but that's not required. We'll get together simply to catch up and leave a book/take a book before the new year. ⁠ ⁠ (No fancy wrapping paper is required—an old Memphis Flyer will do—but if you need gift wrap accessories, don't forget our friends at the Cooper-Young Gallery + Gift Shop!)⁠ When: Monday, December 15 at 7:00 PM⁠ Where: CYCA Office, 2298 Young Ave.
