The Cooper-Young Garden Club would like to personally invite you and your family to participate in our 3rd annual “Cooper-Young Garden Walk.” Our neighborhood garden tour happens May 19-20. Tour gardens 9 a.m.-5 p.m. each day. Get your two-day pass tickets by May 5 for $20, or $25 after May 5. Children 13 and younger free. Order online at https://cygardenwalk.eventsmart.com.
The Cooper Young Garden Club is thrilled to showcase over 75 wonderful, unique, and beautiful gardens of Cooper Young.
The purpose of our Garden Walk is to invite visitors and neighbors to take a peek at what our vibrant community has to offer. We want to show off our cozy streets and trendy shops and encourage neighborhood beautification and pride. Every year, we add new gardens and activities.
This year, our theme is “Cooper Young Goes Native.” Come hear noted native plant experts Dr. Doug Tallamy and Chris Cosby on why native plants are so important to our environment and what plants you should be growing. Hear master gardeners give mini-talks on natives. See the Peabody Elementary garden club students’ pollinator hotels and poster art. Visit the educational and vendor booths. Walk, take a guided bike tour, or use the shuttle bus. All money raised will fund future neighborhood beautification projects.
We’re inviting all homes in the neighborhood to join this garden party by dressing up your front and side yards before the big day. The more homes decorated with flowers, the better to highlight the charm, warmth, community, and pride of our historic neighborhood.
Show your community spirit:
Buy tickets early and come explore your neighborhood.
On FB, like and share: Cooper Young Garden Walk.
Hang garden walk flyers at your business + church.
Encourage your friends to come on the garden walk.
Beautify your garden/porch to welcome our visitors.
Plant natives throughout your landscape
Although this is only our 3rd garden walk, we expect about 1,500 visitors. We hope that many of our garden visitors are Cooper Young residents. It’s a great way to meet your neighbors!
We look forward to seeing your beautiful yard. Thanks for participating.
