The 2018 Cooper Young Festival Art Invitational presented by Evolve Bank and Trust will be showcasing local artisans on Thursday, September 13 from 6-9:00 p.m. The Art Invitational is a kickoff to the festival weekend ahead and will be hosted by Epicenter Memphis located at 902 South Cooper Street.
The Invitational celebrates the artists who live and work in the Cooper Young Historic District. The free event allows artists the opportunity to showcase their work in a gallery setting. This year’s invitational will feature artists such as Maria Ferguson, Jeanne Seagle, Nick Canterucci and Barry Buxhaum. The 2018 Cooper Young Festival poster artist, Jay Etkin, will also have artwork featured this evening as well as the original poster art, which will be sold during a silent auction.
There will be complimentary wine/beer bars, refreshments and live music by local singers Shayla and Frank Shaw. The event is free and open to the public.
