This month, I would love to hear what you think the Cooper-Young Community Assocaition’s role should be in terms of neighborhood safety. The Cooper-Young Neighborhood Watch, a separate organization, has built a network of cameras on private property throughout CY and has had some well-publicized successes in capturing evidence that has helped solve crimes. What role should the CYCA play? Would you like to see self-defense classes? Meetings with the police? More information sharing? Safety tips?
