2018 Cooper-Young Festival Friday 4-Miler overall winners Matt Weickert and Kacey Nobert.

The 27th annual Festival Friday 4-Miler, the Cooper-Young Community Association’s biggest fundraiser, was held Sept 14. Nearly 1,700 runners gathered to take over the streets of Cooper-Young. They were cheered on by hundreds of spectators, some of whom who hosted Light the Way parties which are parties hosted by residents to add to the flair of the race.

The race, which began under the CY trestle, was led by Revolutions Bike Co-op riders. After the race, the after-party took place at Midtown Autowerks, with live music by the Snake Doctors and a special made brew by Memphis Made entitled Mile 5 Cream Ale for all the partygoers.
