Midtown alleyways can be challengingly lush under the best of conditions, but in the summer, when everything seems to be growing out of control, they can become downright jungle-like.
The Beautification tries to tame the wildness with periodic alley cleanups of the worst offenders. Their next cleanup is July 8 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. near Tanglewood and Elzey.
Our alleys are full of all sorts of plants so be sure to wear proper attire. We recommend wearing pants, long sleeves and comfortable shoes. We know it will be hot and we’ll keep water on hand to keep us all as cool and hydrated as possible. If you’ve got your own tools, go ahead and bring them on down: we will provide as many tools as possible but there’s always room for more!
